Where did PSW go?!

What a year so far! Sorry for my blog absence. I’ve been keeping up with any download issues and, while delayed, e-mailed questions, but just about everything else was put on hold for the last three months. I have two to three more weeks and I expect to be back to a higher tempo of editing! Covid moved through my family one person at a time. We are all okay but it was a long process. Real live responsibilities, holidays, and some volunteer time has also been unbelievably demanding. It has not left much free time beyond me keeping my fitness goals.

Still, there is good news. I have a draft edit of a story done. I will look to do the special effects next. I have another story shot I’ve not even touched yet! I wish I was farther along because normally in March I’m out of things to edit and trying to plan for filming in warmer weather. Still, I’m glad to have time just to post this update. I’ll keep it short so maybe I can open up Premier and After Effects tonight.

More soon I hope.

Thanks JPM! I've identified 15 scenes that will require SFX work and I've done the first three. They get more complicated from here but maybe I can provide progress reports. :^)

I'm glad to read you and your family are doing better!

Best wishes for the special effects for the next story. The screenshot of Super Michaela is gorgeous (as always!). Just from this one moment, her enthusiasm and care for the character shines through. Project Superwoman continues to be a bright light for content in these difficult times.

Thanks for the update, and glad to hear things are OK. I've been checking in frequently ever since the mention in a comment about a Lost Souls update being filmed already, and was getting worried something might be wrong. Glad that's not the case!

I did film the sequel! It went well. There were two scenes I blew it on and kept stopping the camera when I meant to hit start recording (not my first time). They were rather important parts unfortunately. So I have great footage of me blocking out action but not the actual action! Needless to say it took some wind out of my sails thinking I'd need to arrange a re-shoot. The good news is thanks to multiple takes I have been able to still pull off the story in a draft edit. Sequels are sequels, and while I loved how Lost Souls turned out I'm hoping this one holds to that high bar.

I'm editing the other story we shot with Michaela first - but I'm looking forward to getting both released ASAP.

Definitely sounds like a lot has been happening and glad to hear things are getting better.
