Our Film featuring Mindy Marvel has been released!  Mindy Marvel:  Lost Souls stars a woman, Bella, that fits the bill of just about any supergirl but excels as our redhead superheroine Mindy Marvel.  In the story Mindy works to save the lives of homeless people being abducted from her cities streets but finds she might have to save herself from a shadowy group that was ready for her intervention.

This video was going to be three different shorts but worked better as one longer production. At 16 tightly edited minutes it's one of my largest efforts to date. In classic Project SuperWoman style it's light hearted but full of action from car lifts, electromagnetic field emitters, high flying, bent metal, to supergirl superpower fights.

As you can see from all the green blocks in my screen grab from tonight sound design is going well.  Bella makes a great Mindy Marvel!  She's a hero of the people.  (Blue is regular footage and sound, Pink is VFX, Green is SFX).  I saw a comment the other day that my dialogue mixing could be better - I'm working on that in this release - especially since we shot in some locations with a lot of highway noise.  The good news is I can promise you're not gonna notice.

I suppose you'll see just how long it really does take to put a video together!  My last blog post I mentioned I had finished filming.  Now I've finished the Visual FX editing on (tentative title) Mindy Marvel:  Lost Souls.  What's next?  Sound design, titles, and maybe some VFX cleanup on anything I don't like while I'm cleaning up the final edit.  How long?  No promises just yet.

What I do want to share with you is the first clip of video of Bella!

This is shaping up to be a fun one!  When I first did the filming I was hoping to get three videos out of the story line, budget, and filming effort.  After doing the rough edit it looked more like there was only a natural break for two videos.  However, I'm throwing caution to the wind and I'm going to release what looks like will be about a full 16 minute video with some nice tight (best effort at) cinematic editing.

I owe you an update after teasing more filming a couple weeks ago!  Day two of Mindy Marvel filming with Bella and team went well.  I'm wrapping up the rough edit but it looks like I've got everything I need other than some B Roll footage.  No promises on release date speed but this should be an easier post production process than some of my efforts because we used more practical effects.

The weather is getting cold *fast* so I'm doubtful I'll get to do much more in video but I do have a photo shoot I'm firming up for early October.  More details to follow.
