PSW Progress Report

Thank-you for checking in today to see how things are progressing and what I'm up to!

I'm happy to be able to share that I've finished the first draft of video effects editing on my next video release. This is the last item I need to edit before I can start thinking about what to shoot next. I now have my notes on what I want to go back and improve. I also have a draft assembly/edit of the full video complete.

What's next? The VFX improvements, an edit clean up for pacing, a ton of sound effects work, music, color grading, and titles. I also might try to schedule a re-shoot of one scene. (It was my fault - Arg!). There is still a lot of work ahead but getting the first draft of video effects done is the biggest time hurdle so I'm closer to done than not! Wahoo!

So! With that good news how about a hint of what's to come:

Thanks for the update! I check in a few times a week. You set the hook for me a while back when you talked about a sequel to Lost Souls, which was fantastic. I hope you have some smooth sailing from here on it, but regardless, I appreciate you checking in.

Lost Souls was special - it's a standard I'd like to live up to. I'm not sure I pulled it off with the sequel but I have hope - if not of the next one - the future.

No power theft (one person to another) in this one - but it's always a fun trope to tell so I'll keep it in mind.

Oh yeah, Bella is back!
I'll second the hope for another power theft story.
However this one turns out, it'll just be great seeing my favourite superheroine again.

I'm so happy to see this sequel moving forward! Bella is a find, and Lost Souls was excellent. I have no doubt this will be a worthy successor. Good luck with the editing. Maybe toss out the odd screen cap to keep us going while you work!

Good news: I was able to get a re-shoot of a key scene I messed up when I filmed Mersadees done last week! I've blended the new clips into my edit and I'm working on the sound and titles!

I'm not sure I will be creating a trailer for this release - my biggest priority is finishing this edit (before the summer ends)!

I'm reluctant to commit to a timeline - but I've made good progress. The re-shoot is done. The VideoFX are done unless I tinker with one or two things. The sound design is about 60% done but there is a big fight scene I have yet to do.

That is nice to here! maybe you can share a pic or two to rease us a bit :) !

I hope that Mindy faces some challenge in the fight scenes and finds herself in some peril.
